Discussion on Goalies

Here is the conundrum - Due to the size of the ball and the goals, having a goalie makes scoring near impossible.  However, it is the natural inclination of people to back up and stand in front of the goal when it is threatened.  Since the start of Tampon Ball we have always said that there should not be goalies and I have yet to see a game where someone does not end up guarding the goal.  The real challenge is how to create an effective rule that does not lead to arguing and frustration. On the rules page you can see the options that we are currently considering.  Have you tried any of these options?  What worked for you?  We are gathering feedback on certain rules as we craft on official rule book.  Let us know your thoughts on goalies and influence the future of the greatest game ever!
